4th of July Celebrations on O’ahu

Kailua Fourth of July Fireworks Show & Air Show

Head to Kailua Beach on Independence Day for a fun fireworks celebration that will light up the night! Bring snacks, drinks, and claim your spot in the sand as you enjoy the show! Before the fireworks, there will be an airshow performance by two local pilots.

Haleiwa Fourth of July Fireworks Festival

For an all day celebration, Haleiwa Beach will host their annual festival with a fireworks show and car exhibition. There will be fun activities for all ages, so stop by and enjoy live music, good food, and craft activities that the whole family will enjoy.

Waimānalo Farms Sunflower Event

Kick off your Independence Day amongst the sunflowers on Waimānalo Farms! Add some beauty to your celebration in the towering sunflowers by planning a picnic, taking a family photo, and shopping at the Market Stand.

Big Island Independence Day Events

Kailua – Kona Parade

Hawai’i’s Big Island brings another annual parade to celebrate Independence Day. The parade starts at 6:00 pm and runs down Kuakini Highway and from Ali’i Drive to Walua Road. After the parade, you can enjoy fireworks over Kailua Bay.

Mauna Lani Turtle Independence Day

A fun Hawaiian tradition that takes place on July 3rd and 4th is Turtle Independence Day. Grab a spot along the oceanfront and watch the green sea turtles make their way to the Pacific after growing for 2-3 years in the turtle pond. This tradition is open to  all ages and guests of the resort and community members are encouraged to join.

Horse Races at Parker Ranch

The July 4th Rodeo is a Big Island tradition showcasing the skills of Hawaiian cowboys or ‘paniolo’. Ranch families from all of Hawai’i compete in friendly competition. You’ll see  lightning-fast horse races, precision team roping, the challenging ranch mugging competition, and the traditional Po’o Wai U contest.
